Akshaya Kalayatra  Online National Art Camp

Akshaya Kalayatra is a nation-wide art camp series organized online by Hina Bhatt Art Ventures during the crucial COVID-19 situation. The Director Hina Bhatt says it has been an attempt to showcase and position genuine art and artists from across the various states of India. The Akshaya Kalayatra Journey began in the month of June by the project Dakshin which covered the southern states followed by Poorab(Eastern states), Paschim (Western states), Madhyam(Central states) and it has now reached the last leg of the Kalayatra project Uttar which showcases and highlights the work of twenty renowned from the northern region namely, Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. The Uttar project aims to recognize and identify the visual poetry and the aesthetic appeal in the artworks of the region which evolves from the socio-political influences of the region on the minds of the artists.

The Akshaya Kalayatra project keeps the digital and media platform in the front seat to highlight and recognize artists in this crucial pandemic period. The entire project has been ideated and directed by Hina Bhatt and curated by Vasanth Rao who is a Sydney based eminent artist and curator. Dr Ashrafi S. Bhagat, renowned Art Historian and Art Critic from Chennai has been giving talks on the development of Mordenity in the various regions of India
